Shalom Rehabilitation Centre is the initiative of the Diocese of Kohima (Catholic Church) in Nagaland in response to the menace of substance abuse in Nagaland and its negative impact on the individuals, families and society. The venture of transforming the lives of those dependents started in the year 1993 with the motto “Together We Can”. Medical Mission Sisters (MMS) and Medical Sisters of St. Joseph (MSJ) collaborate in this ministry of restoring human lives with chemical dependency in this healing mission. Shalom has made many individuals to recover and relive as sober and clean contributing to the welfare and development of the society in various capacities today.
We believe in the power of transformation and the possibility of rebuilding lives through pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions that spread around four months as a residential programme. Our mission is to provide comprehensive detoxification, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals struggling with addiction. Since our establishment in 1993, Shalom has staff with dedication and commitment that forms the team in touching and changing lives, one step at a time in the Northeast.
